Meet Dr. Noorbakhsh

Babak Noorbakhsh, DDS Upon graduation from Ripley High School in 1981 Dr. Noorbakhsh went on to attend West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Science in Chemistry. He has been published several times in the journals of The American Chemical Society throughout his research and Master’s education.

Dr. Noorbakhsh started his professional endeavors in 1988 when he started dental school at West Virginia University. He graduated with honors early in December 1991. He went on to complete a year of General Practice residency at WVU Hospitals and a year of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery internship in medicine, anesthesia, and surgical fields. He then completed a four year residency program at WVU and Geisinger Medical Center in the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

He is affiliated with the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral Implantologists, American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Blennerhassett Dental Society, Mid-Atlantic Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Southeastern Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, West Virginia Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiologists, National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and Academy of Osseointegration.

Dr. Noorbakhsh has two children, Seth (1994) and Sarah (2002).
